I chose to optimize this hero image by compressing it and resizing it to improve page load speed while preserving visual impact. Its architectural and scenic view makes it an ideal header visual. Optimised_image 2 was optimized into a smaller thumbnail format to support responsive design and ensure faster loading on mobile devices without compromising key visual elements.I selected a cropped version of the optimised_image 3 that has reduced file size. This allows for contextual visual support in the content without affecting performance.
To troubleshoot image optimisation issues, factors such file size, format and resolution were looked into since it would affect performance of the page. Tactics like compressing large images without losing quality using tools like ImageOptim, converting heavy JPEGs to more efficient webpage format, and testing across different devices and browsers.
